CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR A-LEVEL STUDENTS ON THEIR FANTASTIC RESULTS!
Posted on: August 17th - 2023Once again, we are extremely proud to share that Langley Park School for Boys are celebrating a tremendous set of A Level results in 2023. This year group sat their first set of public examinations this year following the cancellation of their GCSEs and the introduction of Teacher Assessed Grades in 2021. We are extremely proud of the achievement of our year 13s and their fantastic results are a testament to their hard work and commitment.
With over 300 students receiving A Level results, our students achieved nearly 900 qualifications. Of these, 46% graded as A*-B, and 72% A*-C. The school’s overall pass rate (A*-E) was an extremely impressive 97.1% in 2023. BTEC results were equally extremely pleasing with 21% of our students attaining a distinction grade or above, 70% of our students attaining a merit award or above and overall 100% of our students passing their qualifications. We are incredibly proud of our students; they have once again continued Langley Park’s fine tradition of securing excellent Level 3 outcomes.

Langley Park School for Boys’ students continue to benefit from a broad Sixth Form offer; in 2023, pride of place goes to the students who have excelled in the Arts, with Photography (100% A*-A), Art (56% A*-A, 89% A*-B), Graphics (20% A*-A, 50% A*-B) Drama (20% A*-A, 40% A*-B) and Music (67 % A*- B) all achieving impressive outcomes. Likewise, the English and Mathematics departments continue to perform highly with both Mathematics (28% A*-A, 46% A*-B) and Further Mathematics (71% A*- A, 86% A*-B), and English Literature (22% A*-A and 54% A*-B). Langley Park’s Science results remain extremely high, including Biology (14% A*-A), Chemistry (18% A*-A) and Physics (30% A*-A). A special mention to our Languages team, whose results, French (43% A*-A, 100% A*-B) and German (34% A*-A, 45% A*-B), at a time when nationally entries for these subjects are dwindling, are truly exceptional.

“I have been so very proud to join our year 13 students today as they receive their results. I have been impressed by their incredible resilience and the hard work that it has taken them to achieve such amazing outcomes. Throughout their time at LPSB, these students have fully embraced our ethos of educating the whole child, ambitious for every child. They have shown this through their huge commitment to the wider life of the school, in setting their sights exceptionally high and in rising to meet the immense challenge of their academic work. I want to thank all the staff at school who have worked tirelessly with these young people on their pathway to success, and also our families and wider community for their ongoing support. I wish all our year 13 students success in their futures as they go on to further study or into the world of work.”
